About
Also known as the Persian Society for Community Outreach (PSCO), Sigma Pi Sigma Si originated as an organization for community service to support the Persian community in Los Angeles. On May 18th, 2009, we received our official Greek letters, and became the only Persian sorority in the world!
In Sigma Pi Sigma Psi, our members engage in events that keep Persian culture alive, build connections with the rest of the Persian community at UCLA, and defy negative stereotypes about Persian women. Staying in line with our past as a community service organization, members of Sigma Pi Sigma Psi participate in many activities to help the surrounding Los Angeles community, such as volunteering with the Farhang Foundation, which promotes Iranian culture in Los Angeles.
Currently, we have 22 lovely sisters, and our sorority is continuing to grow. All of our members are driven, bright, and friendly women who enjoy interacting with the Persian community here at UCLA.
